Teaching Philosophy:
School, for me, has always been a safe, happy place, where I enjoyed learning new things, and interacting with other classmates. In my classroom, I believe students should have structure in their learning, but also be able to work independently, in pairs, and in small groups. Having open communication between me and my students helps promote a positive classroom environment. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Buffalo State University, where I learned inquiry-based learning strategies, cooperative learning strategies, and project-based learning. I believe that a student's success is from the support both in school and at home, working hard, and being creative in their thinking skills. Each student has a different learning style, and as a teacher, I strive to meet those styles in different aspects of day-to-day learning. Overall, my classroom is one of happiness, honesty, kindness, and respect for one another.
